Types of data processed

Inventory data (e.g. name, city), contact data (e.g. email, mobile number), content data (e.g. text entries, photos, vehicle registration number if you enter it), usage data (visited pages, access times), meta/communication data (device information, IP addresses) and location data (the app’s GPS data for nearby search).

Purpose of processing

Provision of the online service and its content, answering contact requests and communicating with users, security and fraud prevention, reach measurement/marketing, and enabling listing creation and vehicle search.

Legal basis

We process personal data on the basis of your consent and for legitimate uses as provided in India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and — where applicable — Art. 6(1)(a), (b), (c) and (f) GDPR (consent, performance of a contract, legal obligation, legitimate interest).

Security measures

We take appropriate technical and organizational measures to ensure a level of protection appropriate to the risk (e.g. SSL encryption).

Transfer to third parties

Data is only transferred within the framework of legal regulations, e.g. to perform the contract or where we are legally obliged. Listing data (vehicle information, images) is made public in order to reach potential buyers. Your phone number is only shown if you choose to add it to your listing.

App-specific data processing

If you allow access to your location, this data is processed anonymously to show you nearby vehicles. Access to the camera/gallery only takes place with your explicit consent, to upload listing images.

Account deletion

You can delete your account at any time via the app settings or by writing to info@bharatkaar.com. All personal data is then deleted, unless there is a legal retention obligation.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, update and erase your personal data, to withdraw consent, to nominate a person to exercise your rights, and to grievance redressal. Write to info@bharatkaar.com; you may also approach the Data Protection Board of India.
